A life after LOST
May 26th, 2010 - Life
Two days ago I watched the LOST finale, the final episode of a show been watching religious for the 5 years, through all 6 seasons. What an ending. I've had a while know to think about the show and let the emotion subside, so I'd thought I'd document my thoughts.
No rest for the wicked

Radio silence once again due to University work and job commitments, hopefully I'll be able to post a new pieces of work to the portfolio once they go live. Good news on the academic side: my Maya project got 78% overall, so a nice 1st for the module! One more exam to go on Software Engineering and thats me for the year.
The Final Year Project

Been a busy few weeks at the University of Kent, wrapping up my Maya project and finishing off a rather successful rugby season. But most importantly the time has come to start planning my final year project!
Back at University

Once again it's been a long time since the last update, but to frank I haven't have that much to write about as of yet. I'm halfway through my second year at the University of Kent, which is going swimmingly so far, and I've been spending some of my time working to the web team here on a couple of projects.
The World Waits For No Man

Have you ever had an good idea that you've started to work on and develop, only for someone to do exactly what you've done (but better) as soon as you started? No? Well you should try it, it's pretty humbling. Oops. After I left Active Webdezign shortly after the last post, I'm afraid I did neglect this website for a long time, I was quite burnt out with the whole web malarkey. Luckily, now I'm at university doing a related course, enjoying learning C, turning for my website design lectures at least (tend to do work in them anyway), so it's all flooding back to me. Plenty of sketches on a new design, problem is I'm saving them for the ...
“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”

One my favourite sci-fi authors, Arthur C. Clarke, died this week at the age of 90. The visionary behind classic stories like 2001: A Space Odyssey and City and The Stars (which also happens to have been my read of the India trip) , he is an outright leg-end. Long may his tales endure. The title of this post is one of his three 'laws'. Wiki it, foo!
The Return!!
March 7th, 2008 - Life
I have arrived home (last week to be accurate) safe and sound. India was pretty phenomenal, definitely somewhere I'll go again one day not too far down the line. Back at work now, straight into solid coding, which seems quite distant to be now. More coming up for RR. Also, thanks to Peter for the badge.
