My mind is nomadic. Nomadic in the sense that I cannot focus on one thing during my free time for any significant duration. This = incredible frustration. For instance, I've been writing this post on and off for two weeks, but I could never seem to finish it, instead falling into either the
social networking trap or just wandering off through some hyperlinked portal into other majestic portions of the double-you-double-you-double-you. This is playing havoc ...

Spiderman 3 then. That was interesting to say the least. To be honest I liked it, even though in some parts the movie didn't quite know what sort of movie it should be. There is comedic sections in the comics to be fair, but some parts, such as the 'Saturday Night Fever' (you'll understand when you see it), whilst entertaining, seem a bit off-pace with the rest of the film. Spiderman 3 also falters slightly, talking about pacing, due to ...

That exclamation point has some serious implications: two great things occurred today in my direction.
The first of these is getting a solid A grade in my ICT coursework. In fact, my teacher went as far as too say that "this is the highest mark she has even given a project at this level" and "can I have permission to use this in future years, as well as a copy of the software to go along with it". Now I think ...

My dad pointed out an article to me in 'Computer Weekly' a few days ago, describing how
uSwitch.com, the utility price comparison website, boosted their business extensively by switching (pun completely intended) to Web 2.0 technologies, notably AJAX. The article provides a link to a
related online article, which is quite and interesting read. It presents the perhaps unsurprising notion that big businesses want to implement Web 2.0 services as ...

I've finally decided which university to go to. The main choice came down to whether or not it was worth it to go to a course which teachs ASP .NET and Java as Internet languages.
Originally I thought not, since my entire web design base stems from PHP and CSS based learnings so I had my blinkers on at the Open Day when they started talking about the use of Java on the Internet for shopping carts (?). I did a ...

I've been thinking about this whole concept on and off for a while now. It seemed to me, especially with a fairly adept academic knowledge of science (at least compared to the Joe Everyman), that the whole idea that humans themselves being responsible for the rising global temperature seemed too convenient to be entirely true. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for green fuel and so forth, since there is no denying that coal, oil and gas resources are ...

"It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen."
The opening line to 1984. Sometimes I wish I had that extra hour in the day, because it always seems that I just don't have enough time to achieve anything. Now maybe that's just an affliction of a busy mind and fervent procrastination, but even so, it's frustrates that I never have enough time to both pursue my personal interests and academic and social obligations. I have ...

Heroes is amazing. They showed the first two episodes on the UK 'SCi-FI' channel (it's due to start on BBC2 soon as well), and I was instantly hooked. So, like all good Cult TV Show addicts, I 'somehow' managed to get my hands on the rest of the episodes so far: I just watched number 13. I can easily say that so far, this is better than LOST ever was, even right at the beginning when it ...
