Courage, the Cowardly Dog
According to Google Analytics, I’m recieving about 15 unique visits a day, where as my WP-Counterize II plugin suggests 100 … I feel a little less guilty now for leaving this poor lonely blog to swelter in the unwavering heat of obscurity and produce a filthy stench of neglect. I do have a plan, to all those 15 of who care to read (and 3 of whom actually return), and the plan starts with a design, and therein lies the problem. Ever since I finished my A-Levels (in which I got AAA, quelquefois je suis ‘mega’ content), and I’ve been working at Active Webdezign, I’ve pretty much been programming. I do like programming, and I’m feeling an enormous sense of pride at the moment which my current project as my library expands and my structures mature, but it’s been a long, long time since I’ve cracked open Photoshop just for a tinker, rather than to edit a file, but I will get there, I’m getting the inspiration for all areas, now I just need to be in the right frame of mind to design something and stick with it till the end.
As for the lack of posts, I have no explanation other than I completely lost the desire to write to such a length (this Hemingway layout is a handicap in that sense); in fact, just to prove it, I have been writing this post for a week. Thats why, in the redesign, the emphasis will be taken off large, laborous posts so that I don’t feel weighed down by the responsibility, and instead be on tid-bits, my ever expanding portfolio, and then every know and then a long post. I’ve said that before … just remembered. Ah well.

BBC now has social bookmarking buttons at the bottom of every article. Mainstream exposure now, since BBC is one of the most visited sites in the UK. The client I’m working with at the moment has clocked this, since he wants them implemented too: luckily we’re using the old WordPress as a CMS, so theres plenty of plugins to choose from.
Went to Florida of course, I do like America, I love how friendly everyone is there. Damn hot there, and I got into a bit of pre-season NFL too. Im seriously considering trying to get a job over there during my ‘year in industry’ in my 3rd Year of University!
Finally, I downloaded a new version of and old RPG maker I used, say, about 3 years ago now, and this one, RPG Maker XP, comes with some rather complex features. The best of these has to be the fact that the scripting language is none other than Ruby. So hopefully, once I get some time to delve into it, I can teach myself some Ruby and OOP at the same time as making an RPG.
Not bad, not bad at all.

Why do you say “luckily we’re using the old WordPress” for the plugins? I’m pretty sure the new version works with most old plugins
Not like that, as in ‘the old’ country-style, reliable meaning. Obviously the reference was lost on you Nick, and whats with that site you’ve linked? Is that yours?
Still a bit lost on what you mean. Yeah, that’s one of mine. May interest you, may not… By the way, probably shouldn’t be having this gernal chat in the open, but if you want to get more hits, blog about something specific. You got plenty of interests and skills, so write about them! You’re putting your PR4 to waist at the moment. Abuse it!
PR4? Fine I take your point, I just want to redesign this site first, my to-do list at work is slowly depleting, this is the next project!
