Spiderman 3 then. That was interesting to say the least. To be honest I liked it, even though in some parts the movie didn’t quite know what sort of movie it should be. There is comedic sections in the comics to be fair, but some parts, such as the ‘Saturday Night Fever‘ (you’ll understand when you see it), whilst entertaining, seem a bit off-pace with the rest of the film. Spiderman 3 also falters slightly, talking about pacing, due to the fact there are just too many storylines happening at once. But overall, I think it was great fun, which is the most important part.
Growing up in the movie-going age I have, it is not often I am seriously impressed by action scenes, but this film delivers some memorable moments, especially involving the adaption of the lesser-known villain The Sandman. The twist on the original Harry Osborne-Green Goblin II is actually not as brutally chummy as it looked at the beginning
VENOM!!!. I’d say that Topher Grace, having only seen him as Eric from That 70′s Show, easily steals the show in the last 45 minutes. His character Eddie Brock, whilst not the muscle-bound jock from the comics, is completely effective in his role as a slimey little wotsit, and Venom, even though he only appears for a little while
Anyway, theres me two-pence. Apologies to those who actually visit for the slow posting, but my priorities are elsewhere. I’m planning a few more Anime Reviews (they’re in draft stage at the moment) so those will more likely than not be my next post.
