Merry Crimbo!
Happy Holidays to one and all!
It’s always a good time of year, since you are actually allowed to take time off from doing whatever it is that needs to get done in order to spend time with family and friends, rather than having to fit that time round all the other malarkey that normally takes up most of the day. And there is also the present as well. Now I’m very proud this year because me and my sister both managed to wake up after our parents, at about 10:30: very generous of us. My main present this year was of course the Wii, but I got quite a number of other things as well.
My anime fanboy was very much pleased, having received an FMA calendar so I can actually keep on top of things in terms of times, dates and all that jazz, as well as the first 13 episodes of Naruto on DVD. All in one DVD set1 funnily enough, which is practically unheard of. Even Dragonball Z, with its 300+ episodes, normally has about 4 to a DVD. It’s from the American company though, so all the subs are new, and all the techniques are in English, rather than in romanized Japanese2. But besides this, and the strange cutting that has occurred on some episodes, this is great fun to enjoy.
I also got a book on logo design from my girlfriend, which is essentially a big collection of well designed logos to provide inspiration, which I often sorely need. From that, I had a little go at a few for an imaginary organization:

Not much, especially in terms of colours from my opinion, but that will come with time!
In other news…
Zelda is still a bash. Every single dungeon just produces ever more imaginative puzzles and tools, and even thought I know I am somewhat near the end of the main game, I can’t wait to go after all the subquests. What an achievement Nintendo have done themselves here.
A few years ago, I went to a fantastic RHCP concert in Hyde Park in London. Now, even though the Chilli Peppers were amazing, in some ways, and I got this impression from a few of the other members of the audience too, one of the support acts nearly upstaged them. That act was The Godfather of Soul, James Brown, who tragically died this week, at 73. I’d just like to say that he was a great performer, and he really lightened up the hour and a half of standing we did during his performance: it was a storm.

That’s awesome. I got a few books for Christmas, and wanted a book on logo design. Would you mind mentioning which book it was? Do you recommend it? Those logos are good - personally, I like the third one.
Oh, and the new site design is cool. Did you do the background graphic behind the main content area?
I really should put an edit button here shouldn’t I haha
@Ryan: Well the book I got is called ‘Logolounge’ I believe it’s part of a series. And yes, I definitely recommend it, it’s a great help.
